We can cast a wide variety of titanium alloys, including titanium components for the aerospace industry, turbocharger parts, musical instruments, motorcycle parts, bicycle parts, and parts for the oil and gas industry. Our licensed welders can repair any surface or near-surface defects. We use the tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding process with pure argon as the shielding gas. How are titanium castings manufactured?
Machined graphite mold titanium castings. This method simplifies the molding process. It also effectively controls metallurgical quality. It allows for the precise manufacturing of thicker and larger castings.
Ceramic mold titanium investment casting. This method produces more precise castings. The castings have clearly visible details. These details include markings. It allows for the casting of large, complexly shaped parts.
Advantages of titanium alloy castings:
- Strong and lightweight: comparable in strength to most common steels but weighing less than 40% as much
- Corrosion resistance: nearly equal to platinum's chemical resistance. It is one of the best candidates for seawater and chemical-treated components.
